Death comes to us all

One of my lunch topics this week was about the one sure thing in life - death. Yes, you are going to die someday.

I remember as a kid, once it occured to me that I was going to die someday and then be gnawed by countless worms among other parasites, and tears just started to flow.. At some point when I grew a little older, I sometimes wished I were a rock so that I didn't have to live or die.. During some truly frustrating times as a young adult, I even yearned for death as release to end this taxing rollercoaster ride known as life..

Anyway, do you have any idea how your death is to be 'processed'? That was what my colleague asked when I revealed my religionless nature. Cremation? Burial? What kind of wake? Rituals? After giving it some thought, I decided that my permanent absence shall be celebrated as a joyous occasion. Regardless of what awaits; to gaze down from heaven, look up from the abyss or as a visiting spirit, I would never want to see a group gathering to mope around my remains.

Until that day, let's live life to the fullest. Cheers.

Outstanding Tasks

Damn.. Just did an inventory check of my Gundam models and realised I have been buying and buying without assembly...

Force Impulse Gundam 1/144
Force Impulse Gundam 1/100
Force Impulse Gundam 1/60
Meteor Unit 1/400
SD Freedom Gundam
Destiny Gundam 1/100
Strike Freedom Gundam 1/100

Still looking to acquire Infinite Justice 1/100 when it comes out, and possibly Arch Angel as soon as I find that elusive item... So many Gundams, so little time... Sigh...

Run!

Went for the Sheares Bridge Run with my colleagues today, though we only ran 6km...

Amazing how many kids participated in the event, even heard the organizer announcing an eleven year old approaching the finishing line..

Amazing how many aunties went for the run...

Amazing how many hot yet well-toned chicks could run so fast...

Amazing how people kept coming up to me to hand in their coupons juz bcoz I was holding a few bottles of Gatorade...
